Bonnie Stewart is California Credentialed K-12 Teacher currently credentialed in Multiple Subjects as well as Single Subject Science
Bonnie retired from classroom teaching after 5 years in the trenches while raising her own babies. She found herself discouraged by the lack of authenticity, consistency, and abundance that was found in the school systems. Always committed to teaching and learning, she has been re-thinking approaches to traditional schooling and she thinks that you probably are too.
She currently establishing herself as an independent teacher in the new educational landscape. Advances in technology, governmental decisions, and social change have confronted the way we think about educating our children.

- Offering Project Based, student-led learning in essential powerful basics like reading, writing, and math conceptualization – as well as interest-based classes that integrate these basics.
- Trained and practiced in whole-child approach. I always honor learning styles and neurodivergent approaches using modern-day teaching best practices. I make accommodations immediately and appropriately without the need for excessive meetings or stressful testing. Your child is a child, not a problem or a label. I always see that.
- Respect for Sovereignty and Individual Choice! I believe in a parent’s right and ability to make whatever choices are best for their children and the life they envision.

As a mother of young children during the pandemic, I have first-hand experience of the challenges of parenting and homeschooling when our children are not given the supportive and appropriate environment that they deserve.
Through my dynamic and participatory lessons on wide-ranging subjects, students are challenged and supported by goals they make to support their own education.
Reading, writing, and math concepts are applied and practiced within each lesson in my interdisciplinary and subject-integrated lessons. Students experience support and ownership over their own learning process, guided by their interests. Students will be guided and empowered by their own creative instincts and shown why the education offered to them is valuable and worth their time.

After earning her credentials at Humboldt State in 2011 and 2014, Bonnie served in the AmeriCorps Watershed Stewards Project customizing educational programs in Northern California for environmental education. After working to help adults gain their high school diplomas and working as a homeschool performing arts teacher, she found that being a mother and a teacher was too much for her tender spirit. She rebirthed herself as a relationship coach and spiritual guide. Forever camp counselor at heart, she has been an active part of her community in Grass Valley for many years.
